Alexandria Gilbert is a botanical watercolor artist based in Fort Worth, Texas. She is known for her joyous floral paintings and her style ranges from impressionistic flowers to intricately detailed realistic paintings that are reminiscent of classic botanical watercolors.
Alex finds inspiration in the natural world and she was fortunate enough to grow up in a beautiful area of upstate New York before moving to Europe for nearly a decade. Exposure to stunning places and some of the best art museums in the world fostered a love of creativity that continues to this day.
In addition to painting, Alex teaches watercolor classes and hosts workshops throughout the year. She believes that beautiful art should be accessible to all and that everyone has an innate creativity. Through her classes she has taught thousands of people to paint and she enjoys sharing her love of art with others.
